Wesley DaSilva is a Brasilian-Dominican multi-disciplinary art director native to NYC. His art stems from the friction between societal realities and our innate yearning for something more. Their work is informed by their passion for surrealist film and artistic depictions of our instincts, desires, and inhibitions. What is it we wish to escape from, and what about our relationship with art allows us to do so? Their work could be best described as familiar, yet foreign, blurring the lines between truth and imagination. They wish to portray the world through their own lens as a self-described "dreamer." They are interested in exploring the bounds of escapism, self-destruction, and counter-culture.
